Dragon Boats on Nanoose Bay

Our first boat was purchased (second hand) in 1999 and it was christened on May 2nd at Parksville Community Park. 

This trusty wooden dragon boat served us well for twenty-two years but the ocean took its toll and the team decided to purchase a newer, fibreglass boat in 2021. We donated the first to a team who trains on the North Saskatchewan River.

Our second boat was purchased in December 2021, wrapped for the winter in the Horne Lake area and then launched for the first time in Nanoose Bay in  April 2022.
